Legacy Giving

Leaving Your Legacy

Through planned giving with Phoenix One Foundation, you can leave your legacy on public education and the historic schools in the heart of Phoenix. As an alumnus, family member of an alumnus, employee or just passionate about the public schools in Phoenix Elementary School District #1 (Phoenix #1), please consider a planned giving opportunity through the foundation.

Phoenix One Foundation is a nonprofit organization approved by the IRS and founded in 2009 to support the students, families and staff of Phoenix Elementary School District #1 beyond the classroom. Initiatives include cultural enrichment for students, technology in the hands and homes of students, as well as parent education.

Many Phoenix #1 students would never be able to venture outside of Phoenix without your support. Because of donors like you, students gain cultural enrichment with trips to the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, Washington DC, behind the scenes at Disneyland developing music, the Grand Canyon and many more locations that enrich their education and motivate them to develop goals and dreams for their future.

They are able to participate in sports and engage in performing in fine arts with your support.

What is Planning Giving?

Planned giving is the process of donating planned gifts. A planned gift is a contribution that is arranged in the present through a gift annuity or donated through a will or trust and granted upon the donor’s death.

How can you get started?

Two simple ways to donate to Phoenix One Foundation with Planned Giving are through a:

  • Charitable Bequest – you can name the foundation to receive a portion or all of your estate through your will or trust and reduce your estate taxed while creating your legacy.
  • Charitable Gift Annuity – you can make a charitable gift and designate the foundation to receive a gift throughout your lifetime. Upon your passing, the remaining sum is donated to the Phoenix One Foundation.
