Ms. Myriam Roa, Director & President
Ms. Roa is the Chief Executive Officer for Phoenix Elementary School District #1. She
has been with the district since 2005 when she joined as Assistant Superintendent for
Business Services. She has been in her current position as CEO since 2006. Prior to
joining Phoenix Elementary District, Ms. Roa served in Yuma Schools for fourteen years.
Previous to her work in education, Ms. Roa was a computer systems analyst contracted
to work with the United States Marine Corps, a computer programmer with the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and a community college technology teacher.
She holds a Bachelors Degree from North Carolina Wesleyan College and a Masters in
Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. She is bilingual in Spanish
and English and is a candidate in the Arizona State University Doctoral Program for
Educational Leadership and Policy.

Ms. Sara Bresnahan, Director &Treasurer
Ms. Bresnahan, is the President & Founder of Lancio Partners LLC. She is a marketing
communications professional holding a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University and an
Master of Arts from the University of Missouri, KC. She attended the University of
Dallas MBA program. Sara was a teacher from 1980-1989 prior to her career in
business and founding her own firm in 1999.

Dr. Robert Donofrio, Director
Dr. Donofrio is an Assistant Vice President for the Office of the Vice President for
Education Partnerships at Arizona State University. Previously he served as
Superintendent of Murphy School District in Phoenix for eighteen years. He also served
the Murphy District as an Assistant Superintendent and Director of Curriculum and
Instruction. He holds an Ed.D. from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Education
from Arizona State University in Educational Administration and Supervision, a Master of
Education from Arizona State University in Education and a Bachelor of Science in
Elementary and Special Education from Kent State University.

Ms. JoMarie McDonald, Director & Secretary
Ms. Mc Donald is Vice President of the Phoenix Community Alliance (PCA). She has
worked in various capacities for PCA since 1985. PCA, a non-profit, 501 (c) 3
corporation formed in 1983, is a collaboration of over 300 business leaders and officials
from government (city, county, state and local federal agencies), as well as
representatives from education, cultural and religious institutions, civic organizations and
individual property owners.
Prior to her tenure with PCA, JoMarie was Executive Assistant for Combined Health
Resources, a holding company for several local hospitals. For seven years, she served
on the staff of the Arizona Nuclear Power Project; a multi-utility-organization formed to
plan and develop Arizona’s Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, the largest of its
kind in the country. In addition, she has served, nationally and internationally, in various
capacities related to major project development and community relations.

Mr. Virgil Berry Jr., Director
Mr. Virgil Berry Jr. is the President of Berry Properties. Established in 1960, the company has been a successful in real estate, property management and land development. As the designated Real Estate Broker for Berry Realty, Mr. Berry has successfully managed more than $150 million of property for the government, constructed and managed four apartment complexes, constructed three commercial office buildings and transacted $500,000 in property and lease transactions annually.
Mr. Berry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Real Estate License in Arizona.
